2 days mafia island trip
Day 1: Zanzibar Airport to Mafia Island Depart by the morning flight direct from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport to Mafia Island and this lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the booked flight. On arrival at the spectacular Island, you will be met and greeted by our Tour representative then embark on the whale shark excursion. Your guide will lead you to the Whale Shark base for briefing and what to expect before hopping on a local boat to find them. Adventurous visitors can opt to swim with the whale sharks.
Before sunset return to your booked place of stay for BBQ dinner, bonfire and overnight rest.
Day 2: Half day adventure excursion and Flight to Zanzibar Airport After the previous adventurous day and peaceful night, be treated to a lovely breakfast before pick-up by your driver. Your guide will check the tides before driving you to the Mafia Marine Park for snorkeling, which exposes you to several marine creatures that include moray eels, turtles, seahorse, sting rays, and octopus among others. If time allows, you will check-out the turtle nest and see the beautiful hatchlings and relax with a local BBQ lunch.
Also get a chance to tour the Utende Village where you might see the flying foxes and then drive back to Mafia Airport. Catch your flight back to Zanzibar Airport which is followed by drop-off at your Hotel or embarking on your International flight. This marks the end of your 2 days Mafia Island by Flight tour.
